The votes are in and Kingston residents remain strongly in
support of Thorndike’s newest development project. On October 22nd,
the Kingston Town Meeting was asked to support an article enabling the
creation of an on-ramp to Route 3 from the commuter rail station and
the new development.
Over 80% voted in favor of the article, a tremendous stamp of
approval for the concepts of SmartGrowth and improved traffic access.
A second article approved establishing an account to hold the
Town’s first payment under the 40R zoning plan. The State has given the
Town an incentive payment of $600,000, confirming to all that the new
40R zoning legislation is working as advertised.
