What a Difference a Year Makes!

While a full economic recovery is still emerging, Thorndike’s sales and traffic have picked up at all three of its current residential developments. The number of sales and visits has approximately doubled since the same time a year ago at Thorndike at the Pinehills and the two active adult communities, Red Mill Village in Norton and WestRidge in Hudson.

At The Pinehills in Plymouth, Thorndike at the PInehills will be conveying its 100th home in a couple of weeks. This will complete the six “mid-sized” neighborhoods for Thorndike which included Hawks Perch, Barnswallow, Grey Shale, Wickertree, Sedgewood and BridgeGate. It is exciting to remember that Hawks Perch won a regional Prestige in Sales and Marketing (Prism)award for Best Detached Neighborhood for Hawks Perch and the Chilton style home won a national award from Builder Magazine.

At Red Mill Village, traffic levels have reached 2008 levels, according to Sales Manager Olimpia Carmone. “We have already have more homes conveyed or under agreement this year than last year and our customers just seem more comfortable with their decision to put their homes on the market and move to Red Mill.” Thorndike’s Red Mill Village also has won numerous awards and, right now is a great time to get into this prestigious traditional neighborhood, active adult community.

At WestRidge, Thorndike’s newest over 55 community, the 9th homeowner is scheduled to close on their home very shortly. According to Stacy Quinn, WestRidge Sales Manager, “WestRidge definitely has market acceptance in the Metrowest area. Time and again, folks come in and say, ‘there is nothing else like WestRidge’ in our market.” WestRidge also has won a Prism award for Best Land Plan, which explains why people are wowed when they visit and see the views.

So, is the “great recession” over? No, but numbers don’t lie and the market is a lot hotter than last year. It is time to visit a Thorndike community again.
